The section in red was the solution. It worked perfectly. I had had a problem with commenting/un-commenting blocks. So I installed a new Toad from scratch and changed one set of options from the default to what I had until I found the problem. I guess I also replied yes to install the knowledge base for admin.

So of course it changed the registry info. Once I found the problem setting and changed it in my main Toad I removed the Toad I had just installed.

I guess that left the registry in a 'bad' state. I HATE THE REGISTRY. Why can't Toad go back to the simpler and cleaner installs which only used INI files this way you could install Toad on a memory stick and use on any computer. You currently allow installing Toad on your work and home computer since you can't be at home and at work at the same time. I would prefer allowing only one install but on movable media.
